Career counselors from Goodwill/Easter Seals are available to help you look for a job, fill out applications, and write resumes and cover letters.

The center also provides access to career-related classes and technology needed to successfully search for jobs.

Stop in and talk with a career counselor from Goodwill/Easter Seals Foundation when scheduled at the library. Get answers to questions about how to look for a job, fill out applications and write resumes and cover letters.

Take a free class

Career and job search classes are offered on such topics as job search strategies, resume writing, networking and interviewing, getting an email account and marketing yourself successfully to connect with employers. All classes are free.

Use free computer, fax and scanning services

As you search for a job, you can use a computer workstation with Internet access reserved just for Job Resource Center customers. Faxing and scanning services are also available for job seekers.

Develop your own customized career plan

Discover your skills, career interests, and identify career fields and study programs with the Minnesota Career Information system (MCIS), developed by the Minnesota Department of Education.

Find helpful books, magazines, DVDs and more

The Job Resource Center offers a wide range of materials, including books, guides and manuals, magazine, videos and DVDs on career fields, job searching and many other related topics. Many can be checked out with your library card.
